Chester 2 - 5 Leeds, League Cup, 12 August 2008

Enjoyed Chester vs Leeds last night, in the English League Cup. Leeds looked rather tasty, with a very skillful, quick young side - Jermain Beckford impressed particularly, with a well taken hat-trick including two fantastic goals. Leeds were 5-1 up by half-time, and although they pushed on in the second, they made a few substitutions and lost momentum.

Chester look like a side in lots of trouble - too many mistakes in possession, and defensively inept. Following a 6-0 drubbing on the opening day of the season, there must be a lot of concern at the Deva Stadium. Such is their poor showing, that they must be looking over their shoulders at the teams beneath them with the points deductions.

Matches so far this season:
Sky: 1
Setanta: 2
Foreign Satellite: 2
